In October 2021, the artist duo deufert&plischke and their kids Moritz and Simon moved to the middle of the Palatinate Forest for a performance project lasting several weeks. In Elmstein, the artist:family explored together with local people what clothes tell us about family and about ourselves. In movement, sewing, writing, dreaming workshops and much more, a playful, site-specific work of textiles, letters, drawings and video was created in an open studio in the middle of the village. The film documents the multimedia project in its very own visual language. At the center of the imaginary is the Palatine mythical creature Elwetritsch, who lives in the forest but has never been seen.
